BRIDGETTE GRANT

After earning her Interior Design degree in NYC, Bridgette has spent nearly 20 years working across almost every sector of the industry. Rooted in contemporary minimalism and the beauty of natural materials, her work values sophistication, timelessness, and crafted simplicity—yet at her core, she is a maximalist in thought, balancing textures, patterns, and colors to create depth and harmony.

A multi-award-winning designer, Bridgette’s work has been featured in Houzz, Domino, HGTV Magazine, and Austin publications like Austin Home and Tribeza. Now at Bentwood, she returns to her roots in cabinetry and millwork, fusing creativity with architectural precision to craft intentional, beautifully executed spaces.

PROJECT MANAGER / CAD DRAFTER – ATX

KARMELA DIZON, CMKBD

Karmela is an award-winning designer whose creative work has been recognized in NARI competitions and featured in Houzz and local California publications, including Oakland, Alameda, and Piedmont magazines. As an NKBA Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer and a Certified Interior Designer in California, she has over 12 years of expertise in residential design and construction management.

Passionate about blending artistry with functionality, Karmela approaches every project with a solution-focused mindset, ensuring spaces are both beautifully designed and built for longevity. She takes pride in sharing her knowledge and technical skills to create tailored, lasting designs for each client.

NICOLE HERGER, ASID ALLIED

After several years in corporate finance, Nicole followed her passion for design, earning a degree in Interior Design. Her background in finance, with its emphasis on precision and structure, seamlessly translates into her approach to spatial planning, ensuring every kitchen and living space is both visually timeless and highly functional.

“Many of my greatest family memories revolve around the kitchen—preparing meals and breaking bread with loved ones.” This deep personal connection to the heart of the home fuels Nicole’s dedication to creating inviting, lasting spaces. Turning a client’s dream into reality where they can build their own cherished memories has been the most fulfilling part of her career transition.

Shawna Roorda - Bentwood of Houston

SHAWNA ROORDA, ASID, NCIDQ, RID

Shawna’s unique blend of creative vision and technical expertise has earned her industry recognition and features in Texas Home and Living, Houston Business Journal, Edible Houston, and the Houston Chronicle. An award-winning Registered Interior Designer with a BFA in Interior Design, she has spent nearly 25 years shaping the design, building, and remodeling industry.

“Kitchens are my favorite room in the house. I love designing spaces that are both beautiful and highly functional. As someone who enjoys cooking, I often think—if I hadn’t built a career in kitchen design, I’d probably be a chef!”

STEVE REED

Steve is an accomplished project manager with over 20 years of managing residential and commercial projects with a specialization in kitchen and bathrooms.

Steve’s focus is ensuring his clients projects run smoothly and on time. His design experience and management training help him recognize and resolve potential project issues.

His goal is to continuously meet and exceed Bentwood’s high standards and delight clients.

Steve enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family. He also enjoys doing activities that bring out his creativity.

LAURA MONROY

Laura is a creative Interior Designer with experience in interior decoration, home staging, space planning and computer-aided design.  She loves creating harmonious residential spaces.

Laura has an Associate of Applied Science Major: Interior Design from Houston Community College.
