Now here is an updated traditional kitchen project that is done well! It is both timeless AND refreshed for the homeowners. Kitchen Designer, Shawna Roorda at Bentwood of Houston, made sure it reflected their desired lifestyle.
Bentwood Luxury Kitchens manufactures cabinetry that stores, organizes, and functions for everyday life. The Harmoni brand is perfect for updated projects like this. We use our most popular door styles and finishes to offer you a cost-saving component.
Let the Light Shine Through
Expanding the kitchen towards the breakfast area lets the sun shine in, and was a defining design element to utilize previously unused space. The Kitchen Island was designed to include The Galley Workstation (more than just a sink) and also extended to accommodate seating for four, which made a huge difference for this Houston home.
Extra Storage Please
What is often overlooked is extra storage on the kitchen island. This valuable real estate has adjustable roll-out drawers that are easy to access and move up/down depending on storage needs.
What Is Behind the Cabinetry?
All of the essentials are at your fingertips, including the spices and oils that you use most often. Okay, so we are going to ask the question: How much time do you spend looking for a particular spice or oil? Not much time if your spices and oils are eye level and easily accessible.
Everything has been well-designed and thought out. Maximizing efficiency whether you are making a gourmet meal, or simply emptying your dishwasher, everything has its place.
Our custom fitted interior accessories make organization for your cutlery and utensils a breeze.
Function for Home Chefs
If you love to bake or cook, then vertical storage for sheet pans and cutting boards is a real-life saver.
Conveniently located above the Wolf Steam Oven and Wolf Microwave makes for quick access for the home chef.
Updated Door Style and Paint Selections are Winners
The Harmoni Door style “Alba” was selected for the entire project and offers a fresh point of view for the separate bar/butler’s pantry area. Painted in Sherwin Williams’ “Dutch Tile Blue,” providing a complementary pop of color.
Other paint selections for the kitchen cabinetry were “Cotton” and “Graphite”.
Smart Design for a Remodel Project
Designed for a timeless aesthetic with additional function in mind, Shawna created a space that will suit these happy homeowners for years to come!
